I have to agree with Tony Robbins opinion that emotions drives our ambition because people do allow their emotions to get the best of them. Allowing your emotions can help or hurt you at the time or in the near future if you do not make the right decision and I feel like that is what Mr. Robbins was trying to get at. Some people can have a list of goals they want to achieve, but allow how they are feeling that day to deteremine the rest of their lives. For example, if someone had an interview that day for a job at a major corporation and didn't go because his or her boyfriend decided they were going to leave was an emotional decision that hurt them. Decisions can shape your destiny but if you explore your "web" and appreciate how many resources you have as long as you provide the resourcefulness you can do anything. One thing I did find interesting was the brief discussion about surprises and I agree 100%. All of us love the surprises that are good such as anniversary gifts and birthday gifts, but no one wants the cancer or deaths. Not to say if everyone has cancer it would be the greatest gift, but you can't only expect for things to be handed to you. Working hard an going through different obstacles make a person appreciate and value what they have accomplished whereas, a person being handed everything will blow it off because they feel it will always be there. For the most part the people being handed everything are the ones who will need a helping hand from someone who had to struggle all their life. Overall, great video !
ReplyDeletei gree with mr robbins because more then alot of times people let there emotions get the best out of them and people seem to react base on there feelings instead of taking that time to think about whats your doing wrong or right and how your hurting your self because theres always another way of looking at things instead of destroying your self because you feel some type of way cause its not always the best way to handle things

ReplyDeleteWhen we reacted things by our emotion instead of planning things. When we emotion comes, we will forget about our principal. Like we want to marry with a guy who is handsome and rich, but when we feeling comes, we will forget what we want. we will choose without any reason.
This video is just amazing. There is not one thing that I disagree with Tony Robbins. Throughout his speech he had mentioned that emotion is what makes us decided where to go. That simple phrase caught my attention right away, and that is because it reminded me of a friend of mine and her decision that changed her destiny.
ReplyDeleteOne day she had met her prince charming and fell completely in love. My friend and her love one got to a point where things were not working so well, and than slowly, slowly their relationship seemed to come to an end. Their relationship did end, and she was absolutely incapable of doing anything other than cry and think about her break up. She had loved that person so much, that she could not even imagine to live in the same city that she had all her memories with that person. So her plan was to move out of the country and start a new life in a new place, where her mind will not be focused on her loved one. She had made all the applications to study aboard and she was even accepted to the university with a full scholarship. And then one day, out of now where she received a phone call from her prince charming telling her that he loves her and that she should stay, and together make the relationship work again. That was when her EMOTION: LOVE took over and chose to remain in the States and not go on that new path that she had almost created.
In other words, Robbins is perfectly right. One decision based on our emotions can change our destinies. As it is in my friend’s case, if her prince charming wouldn’t have called, and asked her to start from beginning, probably right now she would have had a totally different life in a foreign country.
Everything Tony Robbins said was so true especially in the part about strangers caring even though people don't think so. also in story about how a lady went to his home to give food and the father left cause he thought someone else giving them meant their worthless and just left. its great that he felt since he has experienced he felt he should contribute. and so he did feeding over 2 million family's all over the world. "They get excited to contribute once they have the chance to experience it not talk about it"

ReplyDeleteI agree with everything Tony Robbins has said. I believe that emotions do have a lot to do what we do in our daily lives. It really does interfere with decisions we make or how he would react to things.
But what he said about strangers actually caring about other strangers was really amazing, because these days you see no one caring about no one else but themselves. If people would show others that you have feelings too and that you can be a nice person to others, maybe people will start doing the same. Maybe other people will actually become more open to the world instead of just being in a shell and caring about themselves.
My father always told me, when I go on the bus go straight to the back. The front of the bus is for the elderly, and if the elderly comes by and has nowhere to sit, get up for them. That's how I was raised and that's what I do. These days, you don't even seeing people get up for pregnant women. It's really terrible how the world has became.
Tony Robbins is right when he talks about emotions taking over our everyday life but nowadays the world is full of hate and everyone goes with flow. I know many people that are too sensitive in the heart. Mostly are all Americanized but my relatives and other european immigrants think differently. If someone is going through hell or a community/country is suffering we do not interact because we have no business with them and we don't want to get involved. Others may complain and say it's a ignorant close minded thing but that is how people think. Emotions take up a huge part of your life and not everyone feels the same about a situation. My father always told me to mind you rbusiness and who cares about everyone else just wprry about yoursel, your future, and your family.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Tony Robbins opinions; people do tend to react based on their emotions rather than thinking things out in how may their actions affect later on. Emotions play a major role in the decisions we make or how we address certain situations. Many people let there emotions overcome them and most likely pick bad decisions.
ReplyDeleteI agree when he says that emotion is key to motivation. If you lack the ability to feel for what you want then what is the purpose in what your achieving. Also what hit me was how he mentioned about violence. How there will always be violence, because people get bored and need excitement or something different. And the part about caring for strangers. He also spoke about caring for strangers. Its hard to distinguish who you can care for since there are ungrateful people whom you seek to help and not appreciate it. In this society now everyone only care to survive the day and care for themselves not thinking of the the positive outcome they can have on someone just by simple wishing them a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteI’m not sure if I was the only one but I taught his speech was so great I just had to see it twice. I agree with every point Tony Robbins made, and it is very true how we take life for granted until the day we come very close to our death. Many of us sometimes seem to believe we are going to live forever or that we can’t die, but the only thing in life that is certain is that someday we are all going to die. That’s why I believe we should smile more often instead of always being grumpy, depressed, or sad. We should enjoy each and every single moment we are alive and live each minute like it was our very last. I also agree with what he said that our emotions are what drive us to our goals and dreams. For example my greatest fear in life is to die before I accomplish my goals and dreams; this motivates me each and every day to not just follow but to chase my dreams, to be determined to reach my goals, and to put my very best effort to accomplish them as well.
ReplyDeleteWow, its almost strange how his story goes so well with this doc i watched called "The Secret". Everything from his childhood to him explaining how us humans act and the reasoning behin our actions.
ReplyDeleteThis video was amazing. He made me realize many things in a different point of view. He made an extremely good point when he said that we take life for granted until the day we are close to death. People tend to not pay attention to the fact that anything can happen to you and you wouldn't expect it. Also, when he says that emotion is important, i couldn't agree more. People at times let their feelings get the best of them, but when you can control your feelings, you will have the key to motivation and you will be able to do what you want. Again, video was amazing and enlightening.
ReplyDeleteThis video got me open minded and thinking about every thing that was being said. I must say that i agree with Tony Robbin. He made me realize that I myself fail to achieve goal because i always tell myself i can't do it or i don't have the time to do it. I'm sure i'm not the only one who does this or think this way. I really liked when he meantioned about having the right emotion to do anyting, basically motivated some one to achieve their goal without an excues.I am amazed about the things he said, as i listen to what he is saying i realize and think this is true. everyone has a choice and decisions of their destiny, it all depends on how you feel. This speech really made me realize how i can achieve some of my own goals and what i nned to do to go about them.
ReplyDeleteThis video was very interesting to me. Tony Rebel message was so clear on the reason why humans make decision. I agree and believe that most decisions are made based on emotions. For example, when i was in high school i was ready too drop out because i hated the feeling of school. It depressed me i was at the point of giving up. I thought i couldn't do it , then my mom got on me and motivated me my senior year to stick it out or she'll kick my butt. It showed that because i was depressed i didn't want to continue attending school. I made that decision based on my feelings towards school. Another thing Robbin showed me is I make to many excuses for why i didn't do something. Instead of finding a way to achieve my goals i look for reasons why i cant do it. Because of this video I will be more aware of the reason why I've any decision and i will try to give a better effort in accomplishing my goals
ReplyDeleteEverything that Mr. Tony Robbins said in the video is true, as human beings we move trough emotions, thats is what make s human. Sadness, anger, happiness they are all connect to one another, people can cry of happinnes as much as for sadness; and about the part of stranger caring about others is also very true, people care even if they don't say it.
ReplyDeleteFor example, I work with 12 people many of them from different countries, and what the most important thing that I have learn about them is that even when you not their favorite person in the world they would care. Customers come to the store sometimes and if they dont see an smile iin my face they ask me if I am okay. I enjoy watching this video because it make me thing about a lot of things that happens to us dialy.
All I can say after watching this video is "WOW". Everything he mentioned from our 6needs of fullfillment to the secret of living is giving is TRUE. I have always lived a life of helping others even those i do not know and not really understanding why i do so but just it being something that made me feel good or came naturally. For instance on thursday for psychology there was a few students who where saying that they didnt have the copy of the book for the first reading assignment we have to do. And i offered to scan the chapter and email it to them. Some people would say why would you do such a thing, what if it where the other way around will people do that to you. I dont know if they would do that to me in return i cant really say but i do know one thing what you give out in this world you get in return. and i am strong believer that what goes around comes around and doing good to others means getting good yourself. Helping, giving a hand, whatever way it is has always been something that makes me feel really good about myself and puts the only smile on my face. Soo with that being said i totally agree on Mr Tony Robbins philosophy of living!
